SHOULD YOU READ MAGAZINES FOR BPSC ?

BPSC is asking more questions based on current affairs and news of around last two years.
In this scenario, we cannot ignore current affairs section. Preparing hard  for static parts i.e. history, geography, politics only will not give you edge over other candidates. So, current affairs is very very important. The thing is, questions may be asked connecting static subjects with current news.Be smart.Work smart.
Now, the question is, which magazines to follow for current affairs. The truth is, if you buy all the magazines from market (somehow) and memorize allll the events and news, there will be questions that you hav'nt found in Any of those magazines !!!
So, what should you do ?

Make habit of daily newspaper reading. No magazine can be an alternative for a newspaper. read The Hindu and any other local newspaper. And make daily notes, memorize and revise again and again.
If you want to see extra topics and you really have time , I will suggest you the following mags. go for any two of them.

1 ) Science Reporter - good for science and tech part, you may find some news which were not in the newspaper.

2)  Pratiyogita Darpan - Very bulky but still good for mains. essays and toppers interviews are nice read.

3) Success Mirror -  Good from BPSC point of view. Go for it.

4) Competition Success Review - Like pratiyogita darpan. you can choose it if you don't get pratiyogita darpan.

5) Last, but not the least, Yojana. A must read for you. Reliable as it is issued by the government.

All the best !
